Things To Do - Battersea

You will never be stuck for places to eat and drink in Battersea and Clapham Junction. We are combining the best of the area with a walk around Battersea Park and the Pump House Gallery within the grounds.

brunch in battersea and clapham junction

We have two preferred spots for brunch and breakfast in the general area round Clapham Junction. And then we have one wildcard to add to the mix if you prefer a more active start to the day.

First off is The Breakfast Club (5-9 Battersea Rise, London SW11 1HG | 020 7078 9630 | Website) who are becoming the Kings of Breakfast in London, if they aren't already.

Next is an equally impressive entry by Ben's Kitchen (140 St John's Hill, Battersea, London SW11 1SL | 020 7228 3260 | Website). They keep things simple and do those things extraordinarily well.

On to the wildcard. Four Thieves (51 Lavender Gardens, London SW11 1DJ | 020 7223 6927 | Website) is brunch and an all day bar with a difference. There are classic arcade games and a decent brunch offering. Definitely something to do once, probably with a Bottomless deal.

Battersea Park

After filling up on some food head for a walk into Battersea Park. There are plenty of things to see in the park, from a Barbara Hepworth Statue to an excellent Putt in the Park course.

Make sure you walk along the Embankment as you'll find the impressive Peace Pagoda.

Battersea Pubs and Bars

After having a good wander around the park head back towards Clapham Junction via our Battersea Pub Crawl.

Start off at The Prince Albert (85 Albert Bridge Rd, London SW11 4PF | 020 7228 0923 | Website) off the side of Battersea Park on Albert Bridge Road.

Second The Lighthouse (441 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 4LR | 020 7223 7721 | Website) is worth a drink on this tour and the first taste of a decent beer garden.

Then head back to the main road in Battersea and have a drink at The Latchmere (503 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 3BW | 020 7223 3549 | Website) utilising the beer garden if the weather is kind.

Take a longer stroll past Clapham Junction to The Goat (66a Battersea Rise, London SW11 1EQ | 020 7350 0349 | Website) or Battersea Rise for some food.

The Clapham Junction bar scene is equally strong with Northcote Records (8-10 Northcote Rd, London SW11 1NT | 020 7924 6699 | Website) and Babel (Lansdowne House, 3-7 Northcote Rd, London SW11 1NG | 020 7801 0043 | Website) amongst our favourites.
