Hammersmith has a lot to offer for an afternoons exploration, especially when you stay well clear of the main high street.
Here is what we would do in Hammersmith, aside from a Tramble there.
Check Out Comedy at the Eventim Apollo
If you have ever seen 'Live at the Apollo' then you will know something about this historic theatre. The place has seen it all over the years and, if you can, grab some tickets for an evening of comedy.
Take a Walk in Ravenscourt Park
Ravenscourt Park certainly isn't the best known or most visited of parks. There isn't an abundance of sculpture or things to see there, but it makes for a pleasant walk with a flowing stream.
Then head to the Riverside
The Riverside is where Hammersmith really comes alive and is a perfect spot to spend a summers day. There are pubs aplenty along the stretch near Hammersmith Bridge and some lovely gardens too.
We love The Dove, The Old Ship and The Blue Anchor while watching watersports and rowing on the Thames.
Then walk the Thames Path to Putney or Kew to round off a lovely day in West London.
